The History of NEWTON

We love what we do.

Our mission has always been to support legal departments in managing complex legal entity structures. Our product, NEWTON, is a customised web application that handles large databases, compliance, and document needs easily and facilitates collaboration among departments. After years in the making, we are moving to a software-as-a-service solution where integration and automation will play a central role.

  1. Roadmap Coming up

    What do we expect for this year? Our main focus lies on the integration of AI and Open Banking interfaces.

  2. Continuous improvements Milestone

    We improved the features around the automatic structure charts, added a new AP Approval system, and extended the management of shareholders and share capital. More than 9,500 legal entities are now managed by NEWTON.

  3. Growing

    Several new clients have moved to the cloud platform since the official launch in February. Also, plenty of new features have been added for document management, document generation, custom fields configuration, and SSO.

  4. NEWTON Cloud Version Milestone

    B-PROJECTS Newton GmbH was founded to manage the SaaS version at get-newton.com.

  5. API

    Introduction of the NEWTON API and Custom Fields.

  6. Rebranding

    BRE was renamed to Revantage, a Blackstone Company. This was accompanied by a huge redesign of the NEWTON user interface.

  7. 4-Eyes-Principle

    We introduced the 4-Eyes-Principle module, adding an additional layer of control and accountability for sensitive approval processes.

  8. Restructuring & Scopes

    Our company has been transformed into a GmbH and now appears as B-PROJECTS. We also introduced Scopes: assigning data ownership and access rights to different user groups on a global level.

  9. BRE Asia

    NEWTON now also covers the APAC requirements.

  10. Logicor

    We had the pleasure of welcoming LOGICOR on the NEWTON platform.

  11. HR and Financings

    2 new modules: HR and Financings.

  12. Treasury

    Bank account management, interfaces to banking platforms, and automatic cashbook updates were added.

  13. Virtual Approval System

    We added complex invoice approval workflows that really made a difference and significantly added value.

  14. Go Live Milestone

    Entity Management, Projects/Deals, Shareholders, Directors, other responsibles, reports, and global configuration.

  15. Prototype

    First prototype of the “Master Entity Database” (MEDB) for BRE Europe (Blackstone Real Estate).
